Hi. I am an Italian film maker and artist based in Denmark. I work as director, creative director, animator and producer trying to push provocative stories with sophisticated storytelling. I value challenging thinking, and deep explorations. I like wordplay, with a certain kind of humour and irony and I believe audiences are smart and receptive.
I recently started investing my time in producing projects I cannot help myself not to be part of. That’s the reality. This is giving me a huge advantage when developing and directing my own work, while at the same time empowering me.
I work for clients mostly as director and creative director. I take care of visual development of all kinds, from classic 2D animation to VR, always with an eye on the audience experience. When possible I take also active part on the delivery of animation and illustrations, other times I count on a small team of great professionals I usually work with.
I have a BA in Fine Art from “Accademy of Brera” in Milan, and a BA in Animation from “Experimental Center of Cinematography” in Turin. I am former alumni of Animation sans frontiers, Anidox:Lab, Anidox:Residency, and former Open Workshop resident. My short film Egg was awarded with a crystal for first film at Annecy, a Golden Dove at Dok Leipzig, Golden Horseman at Filmfest Dresden, among many others, was nominated for best short film at the European Animation Awards 2018 and shortlisted for the 2020 Cesar Award.
I refuse to know how to cook pancakes. I refuse to know I to cook fish.
