Hi. I am an Italian film maker and artist based in Denmark. I work as director, creative director, animator and producer trying to push provocative stories with sophisticated storytelling. I value challenging thinking, and deep explorations. I like wordplay, with a certain kind of humour and irony and I believe audiences are smart and receptive.
I recently started investing my time in producing projects I cannot help myself not to be part of. That’s the reality. This is giving me a huge advantage when developing and directing my own work, while at the same time empowering me.
For clients, I usually step in as director or creative director. I shape visual worlds across formats — from classic 2D to VR, even sculptures lately. Always starting from how it should feel for the audience. Sometimes I’m hands-on, animating or illustrating; other times I pull in my small circle of trusted collaborators. My practice and team are scalable.
I studied Fine Art at the Academy of Brera in Milan and Animation at the Experimental Center of Cinematography in Turin. I’m an alumna of Animation Sans Frontières, Anidox:Lab, Anidox:Residency, and the Open Workshop. My short film Egg received the Cristal for Best First Film at Annecy, the Golden Dove at DOK Leipzig, the Golden Horseman in Dresden, and a handful of other shiny things. It was nominated for Best Short at the European Animation Awards and later shortlisted for the 2020 César.
I refuse to know how to cook pancakes. I refuse to know I to cook fish.
